Volunteer Opportunity with the CISMA!

Come join us at the Brattleboro Farmer's Market to learn about all things knotweed! We will be using a management technique poineered by our partners in the Mad River Valley to help restore the health of the Wetstone Brook.

What to expect: The Southeast Cooperative Invasive Species Management Association (CISMA) will talk about some of the work that we are doing this summer and fall. Then we will be using hand tools to cut and pull knotweed along the Wetstone, talking about why introduced species are a concern, as well as some effective management strategies for knotweed and other species.

What to bring: Water and a snack and if you have a favorite hand tool for cutting or digging, bring it along!

Where to meet: 570 Western Ave Brattleboro.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
